This is such a solid place. As an out of towner, this is the perfect place to get a small town burger and fries. The food quality and staff are fantastic. I wish I could give 4.5/5.0 but yelp will force me to keep it at 4.0. In this establishment, you will see and feel the presence of the locals through what you can overhear and observe. It's a seat yourself and order through a staff person but they may offer an "order at the front and take it to go". Make sure to stop by when you're in the area!

So no beer or wine automatically drops one star. I searched Gooding for food after arriving late afternoon, and these folks had the best rating. No "hair in food" or "I got sick" reviews so I thought I'd try them. The decor was not my style, that is it was country kitcsh but not obnoxious. It was certainly clean with clean restrooms. They have a nice menu, including burgers, fish, baskets, sandwiches/ wraps, and soup/ salad. I was greeted immediately and sat. Beverage service was quick, but again, no beer/wine. No 5-star review for you out of principle. Anyway, I chanced the finger steak basket. Most places serve what I refer to as "cat turds" for finger steaks but these gals actually did hand cut and fry their own. Most impressive. As a matter of fact, they were damn good. My food arrived fresh, hot, and on time. I wish I could've tried a burger, so maybe next time.

Wow great find driving back to Boise! Family arrived about 30 minutes prior to close but server was more than happy to let us take our time with the menu and we weren't rushed when we ate. Had the burgers and they were huge and delicious. Son and I had the Legend and it was too thick to bite but we managed. Wife and one daughter had the Stampede and enjoyed them. Don't remember what other 2 got but they also had no complaints. Staff was friendly and chatted and the grill-master did her job. Definitely recommend if you're driving through and don't know if you want to stop or not - it's worth it!

I work out in Gooding on Mondays and have been passing Stampede Burger for months now. Popped in the other day for lunch and it was GOOOOOOD! I had a bacon cheeseburger with fries and a side of 1000 island. Definitely recommend it for a solid burger! Can't wait to go back!
